MEET OUR STAFF
REV. MAURICE YU
Maurice was born and raised in Hong Kong. While serving in CBMC and working as an engineer, he was called to ministry. He earned his MDiv from Talbot Seminary and now oversees our growing church. One of his favorite bible verses is, “As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him” (1 Sam. 17:48), as it teaches him to have bold faith and that any threat can be God’s opportunity in disguise. Maurice, Meipo, and his two daughters are eternally grateful for the life and ministry God has given them.
Christopher was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley, which he has always called home. His passion is to see people radically transformed by the love of Jesus in every area of their lives. He oversees the spiritual formation of our college students and young adults. He graduated with an MDiv from Fuller Seminary, and lives in Rosemead with his wife Jenna, and their two children.
Patrick accepted God’s call to ministry when he was 15 years old. Patrick greatly desires for people to be holistically transformed by the gospel and to “know the love of God which surpasses knowledge” (Eph. 3:19). After studying preaching at Moody Bible Institute, Patrick received his M.Div. at Talbot Seminary concentrating in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care. He currently shepherds our high school and middle school students. Patrick and his wife Kaitlyn are greatly blessed to participate in the family of God at CBMC.
REV. KEITH KO
Keith was called to ministry when he was 17. He studied the Bible at Wheaton College and received his MDiv from Denver Seminary. He has served over 10 years in student ministry, and is further humbled with the responsibility of preaching God's Word while overseeing the English Ministry. Keith and his wife Shelley are incredibly thankful to be a part of this church.
Dickson was called to full-time ministry in 2016, but has served over 20 years in children’s ministry, along with being involved in small groups and missions here. He is currently furthering his education with a B.A in Christian Ministries (Children Concentration) at Biola University as he oversees infancy–5th grade. Dickson and Tina have two boys, Jonathan and Samuel.
Dadco was born and raised in Hong Kong and left behind SGI (Japanese Buddhism) to follow Jesus in 1996 after moving to the U.S. Called to ministry while working as a secretary in CBMC, she received her MDiv from LOGOS Evangelical Seminary. While overseeing our college and young adult ministries, her aspiration is to be an “approved worker,” with no need to be ashamed as she rightly handles the word of truth (2 Timothy 3:15).
Jimmy was born in Hong Kong, but moved to the U.S with his family at the age of ten (1.5 generation). He accepted Christ as his personal Savior during his last year in college. After graduation, he worked in the neuroimaging research field before accepting his call to pastoral ministry. He received his Master of Divinity from Talbot Seminary. He has the privilege and honor of overseeing the college ministry. His passion is to walk with these students as they know more of God and of themselves. Jimmy’s daily prayer comes from Mark 9:24b, “I believe; help my unbelief!”
Ricky was born and raised in Hong Kong. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord Savior during his first year at a Christian Junior High School. He is thankful to have grown and to be surrounded in God’s love during his adolecsent years. In 2004, Ricky entered full-time ministry by working as a church secutary. In the following year, he enrolled in Hong Kong Baptist Theological Seminary's Youth Diploma Program, focusing on worship and youth ministry. He married his wife Veronica in 2006 and now has three sons. Under God’s guidance, he later completed the Bachelor of Christian studies in 2016, focusing on care and counseling, at Hong Kong Baptist Theological Seminary. He’s served as a pastor since then. In June 2021, Ricky formally joined CBMC as one of our Cantonese pastors, focusing on the young adult ministry. As Scripture tells us, “We must also care for each other, inspire love, and encourage good deeds.” (Hebrews 10:24).Together with the church, Ricky looks forward to be Christ's soldiers: To fight the good fight for the Lord, to build up one another in love, and to live out God’s truth today.
